1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The data controller for the Service is ArtMind Global LLC, 3833 Powerline Rd, Suite 201, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, USA. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@travelalert.world.

2. What we collect

• Location: coordinates you provide via device GPS or manual entry, used solely to filter alerts shown to you.
• Saved places: labels and coordinates of places you choose to monitor.
• Preferences: radius, severity threshold, notification settings.
• Account & billing metadata (when you subscribe): email address, a subscription identifier and a customer identifier from our payment provider. We do not store payment card details.
• Diagnostic data: minimal logs (timestamps, error codes, IP address) needed to keep the Service running and secure.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal basis)

• To provide the Service and display alerts relevant to the locations you specify (performance of contract).
• To deliver notifications you have opted in to receive (consent).
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud (performance of contract; legitimate interests).
• To diagnose and fix service problems and ensure security (legitimate interests).
• To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations (legal obligation).

4. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data or your location data.
• We do not share your location with advertisers.
• We do not build advertising profiles of you.

5. Where data lives

Preferences, saved places, and location are stored on your device. When you create an account, account and subscription metadata are stored by our managed backend provider. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider, who acts as Merchant of Record.

6. Who we share data with

• Managed backend provider: account, subscription, and saved-place storage.
• Paddle.com Market Limited (Paddle): our Merchant of Record. Paddle independently processes your payment, billing, tax, invoicing and refund data in order to sell the Service to you. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
• Alert data sources: we fetch from public APIs (USGS, GDACS, Meteoalarm, national agencies). We do not send them your identity.
• Professional advisers and authorities: legal, accounting or tax advisers, and authorities where required by law.

7. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the US, the EEA and the UK. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

On-device data persists until you clear browser storage or uninstall the app. Account and billing data are retained for the duration of your subscription and for the period required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically up to 10 years for invoicing records). Diagnostic logs are kept for a short rolling window.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and least-privilege practices, to protect your data.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@travelalert.world. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (within one month under GDPR).

11. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage required to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in and remember your preferences). We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
